Popular Nigerian comedian and Master of Ceremonies Helen Paul has revealed that she was born out of rape.
She made this shocking revelation during a convocation speech after she received her Ph.D. award in the University of Lagos.
Nicknamed Basimile, Helen Paul disclosed that her maternal grandmother raised her alone in Lagos where she had her education from nursery to the tertiary level.
As a living testimony of how God has been good to her, she stated that, she studied theater art at the University of Lagos where she got her bachelor’s degree in 2010, master’s degree in 2012 and PhD in 2019.
Helen Paul expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her mother for not aborting her although she thought of it because many women who got pregnant through rape aborted the pregnancy.
