Ireland is currently providing students in particular locations on the African continent with a fully financed scholarship programme through the Kader Asmal Fellowship.
The scholarship is one of the numerous rewards that Ireland provides to students from other countries. International students who seek to further their studies in Ireland have access to fully financed scholarships from the Irish government, universities, and other organisations.
The Kader Asmal Fellowship is specially designed for South African students with the intention of studying undergraduate programs in some of the higher institutions in Ireland.
The scholarship is specially designed for early career professionals with leadership qualities in South Africa and also has support for the sustainable development goals. They must also be in the position of supporting women’s development and participation in STEM.

The program is solely funded by the Irish Aid for South African students wishing to pursue postgraduate programs in Ireland for a period of ten to sixteen months. Many students with Bachelor’s degree as basic qualifications are considered for the scholarship program.
Candidates must be South African citizens who have been employed for at least two years in a field linked to their course of study in Ireland, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have earned first- or second-class honours.
Along with benefits other than tuition, the programme offers monthly stipends, housing, airfare, insurance, and many other supplemental costs.
